Our 1001 S.T.E.A.M. program helps students build their 21st century skills by providing an academically rigorous Common Core standards-based curriculum that is focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Students receive direct instruction, and also participate in engaging, project-based learning activities, such as robotics, science fairs, and Junior Model United Nations.
The onsite program is held at the College of Engineering on the National University campus, giving students access to a state-of-the-art robotics lab, college professors, and college students who come to mentor them. NUA students were able to form a robotics team that competes, and has even won several awards. Through this program, students get excited to learn, and are able to really see a future.
